Travellers Autobarn

This project was created during a two-week campervan journey with Travellers Autobarn Australia. Together with Fini, we picked up the camper in Cairns and travelled south along Australia’s east coast before returning it in Brisbane.

The experience was great overall. The camper offered a lot of space, was well equipped and gave us the flexibility to explore the route at our own pace. It was also my first trip to Australia, which made the journey feel even more special.

Unfortunately, the weather was not really on our side. Out of 14 days, we had around nine days of almost constant rain. But instead of letting it ruin the trip, we made ourselves comfortable in the camper, enjoyed slow mornings, cooked inside, listened to the rain and turned the van into our little home on wheels.

Even with wet roads and changed plans, the trip gave us a beautiful first impression of Australia and plenty of quiet, honest moments to photograph and film along the way.

My personal highlight: seeing 17 koalas in the wild!
