Marcel Zirpins is a photographer and filmmaker based in Hamburg, Germany.
His work is shaped by travel, landscapes, people, and the quiet details that make a place or a story feel real. What started during a high school year in the United States in 2008 became a long-term way of seeing the world. First through photography, later through motion and cinematic storytelling.
Over the years, Marcel has captured journeys across different parts of the world, from remote landscapes and road trips to personal moments, portraits, and brand stories. His approach is documentary-led, atmospheric, and grounded in authenticity.
Rather than creating images that only look polished, he is interested in visuals that feel honest. Stories that carry a sense of place, movement, emotion, and memory.
So far, I have travelled to 6 of the 7 continents of the world. My goal is to visit the remaining one - Antarctica - before I turn 40.

My work moves between photography and film, between quiet observation and intentional visual direction.
Whether I am documenting a journey, creating portraits, or producing visual content for a brand, I look for moments that feel natural, cinematic, and emotionally connected. Strong visuals are not only about beautiful locations or perfect light — they are about atmosphere, timing, and the story behind the frame.
Today, my focus lies in travel, landscape, people, and brand storytelling — combining photography, filmmaking, and post-production into a visual language that feels calm, cinematic, and real.
