Faroe Islands

January 17 2023, 10pm, Berlin. I'm sitting on front of my computer in my dark apartment to join an online workshop by Tom Noske. It's about how to build your own brand. What I didn't know is that on the other side of the screen Loui Skovgaard also joined in.

A day later Loui texted me on Instagram. Over the next months we kept texting back and forth about or passion for filmmaking and storytelling. Loui produces amazing content and managed to reach a big audience. So when in January 2024 he asked me to join a group trip to the Faroe Islands with Tommi and Ask, I was super stoked!

This was one of my most spontaneous trips so far. Within 2 months we planned a one-week creator trip. Sharing time and space with people who share the same passion but who we never met in person before. One April 6 I jumped in the train from Hamburg to Copenhagen and met up with the boys. The next day, we took the plane to Vágar airport. We picked up our rental and checked into our first cabin - The View.

For the next days we explored multiple islands from the beginning of dawn to the last sun light. The weather was...challenging I would say. We had quite a bit of rain and on Suðuroy we almost got blown away by extremely strong winds.

When we got home, we cooked dinner, discussed our impressions of the day and edited photos & videos.

This was the beginning of an amazing friendship. So amazing, that a few months later we decided to do another trip. This time to visit the Italian Dolomites.
